High Holy Days 2023/5784

High Holy Days COVID & Viral Illness Protocols

Due to the growing number of COVID cases in our local community, and in partnership with our Health & Safety Task Force, we are sharing Temple Sinai's updated COVID-19 and viral illness protocols for the upcoming High Holy Days. These enhancements are designed to provide important layers of protection to reduce the spread of illness as we gather to worship together.

  • When you register for your High Holy Day tickets you are asked for your preferences regarding how you will worship (in-person and/or streaming). If you choose in-person, you will be asked to indicate whether you want to sit in a mask-optional or mask-required section.
  • Mask-required sections will be provided in both the main Sanctuary and the Ballroom. Our TSR “ambassadors” will monitor these areas throughout the services to maintain integrity.
  • Wearing a well-fitting mask is strongly encouraged while in the building.
  • Masks and hand sanitizer will be available at the building entrances, at the entry to the Sanctuary, and at points throughout.
  • We will enhance the frequency of restroom and high-touch surface disinfection.

If you test positive for COVID, please follow these guidelines:

  • Please remain at home and worship with us via the livestream if you test positive within five (5) days of the first service you plan to attend, The link to view the livestream is included along with the QR code for your in-person tickets.
  • If you have tested positive between five (5) and ten (10) days prior, are asymptomatic, and choose to attend in-person services, please wear a well-fitting mask at all times while in the building.
  • If you are not feeling well regardless of a negative COVID test, for your health, and that of your fellow worshippers, please join us via livestream.

The health and safety of our congregation is of utmost importance.

High Holy Days Bag Policy
