SULAM Teen Travel

Temple Sinai is proud to provide our teens with immersive Jewish travel experiences that help them solidify their personal connection to Judaism as well as accomplish the mitzvah of tikkun olam, repairing the world.

SULAM Teen Travel Programs engage students in social justice through meaningful interaction with communities outside of the Long Island “bubble,” hands-on social action projects, and powerful political advocacy opportunities. Our participants return home with deeper connections to the broader Jewish community, incredible friendships, and a stronger sense of personal agency.

SULAM Teen Travel Programs are rooted in the idea that Jewish life should be lived actively, both within and outside the walls of the temple. Each year we offer several short-term travel opportunities that enable our teens to see the world, gain valuable Jewish education, earn community service hours and make a real difference in the communities we visit.

Trips are organized and led by our director of youth engagement and members of our clergy team. This supervision and mentorship by trusted adults is a central element of SULAM Teen Travel Programs.
