Online Donations & Tributes

Thank you for choosing to support Temple Sinai of Roslyn. For your convenience, Temple Sinai offers two forms of online payment:
  1. CREDIT CARD payments incur an additional 4% ADMINISTRATIVE FEE. Temple Sinai does not profit from this fee.
  2. ELECTRONIC CHECK (e-Check) payments have NO ADDITIONAL FEE. A simple and safe way to make your payments online!

Please note: Donations to the CLERGY DISCRETIONARY FUNDS cannot be billed or paid online. They require a separate check made out to Temple Sinai with the specific fund indicated in the memo line (e.g. Rabbi White's Discretionary Fund).

DONOR INFORMATION



FUND DESIGNATION

A minimum of $10 per tribute is appreciated unless specified otherwise below.

Contributions to the Adult Engagement Fund support a robust calendar of educational, cultural and social programs for adults.

Contributions to the Bible/Prayer Book Fund are used to purchase prayer books and Bibles, as needed, for the congregation and are also used to support the Temple's general operation, programs and activities.

Contributions to the Book of Life are made to eternally record special occasions and family milestones such as birthdays, anniversaries, births, weddings and Bar/Bat Mitzvahs. The Book of Life, located next to the Temple office, is opened each morning to display the name of a loved one each year on the anniversary of a milestone. These contributions support the Temple's general operation, programs and activities.

Like the Book of Life, the Book of Remembrance is located next to the Temple office and contributions to it memorialize loved ones. The name of a loved one will be recorded on the date of his or her passing and every year the Book will be opened on that date for all to view. These contributions support the Temple's general operation, programs and activities.

Contributions to this fund support our wonderful Jewish education program for children with special needs and developmental differences.

Contributions to this fund support the outstanding choir and musical programs offered by Temple Sinai  throughout the year.

Contributions to this fund, keep our college students' Jewish connection strong while they’re away from home. Three times per year we send packages overflowing with: honey sticks, gelt, chocolate covered matzah, personal letters from the clergy, the Scribe, mezuzot, dorm-approved Shabbat kits, guides to facing anti-Semitism on campus, information on Jewish internships, travel, summer jobs, and so much more!

Contributions to the Distinguished Lecture Series Fund, supports bringing noted speakers such as Nobel Prize Laureate Elie Wiesel, Secretary of State Henry Kissinger, and Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak to our community.

Contributions to this fund are used for special early childhood programming, activities and events.

Dedicated in memory of our beloved Erica Halpern, a student who brought light and joy into every room she entered. Contributions to this fund will be used for an interactive children's library and technology-based learning center.

Contributions to the Fine Arts Fund enable the Temple to acquire and maintain unique objects of Judaica and Jewish artwork.

Contributions to this fund will be used to support Holocaust lecturers and speakers whose topics are focused on inclusiveness and tolerance.

Contributions to this fund will support Holocaust education, lecturers and additions to the Holocaust memorial in the Fortunoff Family Garden.

Contributions to this fund are made in memory of Ilene Barshay, beloved Past President and Legal Counsel of Temple Sinai. This fund's mission will be determined shortly.

Contributions to the Library Fund are used to purchase books and publications. Monies not expended during the fiscal year are transferred to the general fund.

Contributions to the Memorial Fund are made to commemorate the death of a loved one, and are used to support the Temple's general operation, programs and activities.

Contributions to this fund are used for religious school programming, activities and events.

Contributions to this fund support Temple's wide array of Teen Programs and scholarships for trips and activities.

Contributions to this fund are used solely to provide camp scholarships or subsidize trips to Israel for Religious School students.

Contributions made to the Simcha Fund in honor of a milestone event or special occasion are used to support the Temple's general operation, programs and activities.

Contributions to this fund support programs and events for our young professional 20-30's group based in NYC.

Contributions to this fund exclusively enables the Temple to sponsor high-quality experiential Jewish activities such as field trips for children in grades K-12.

Contributions to this fund support the general operations of Temple Sinai, which keep our synagogue strong and vibrant.

Contributions to this fund support Temple Sinai's broad range of social action activities, including the Yom Kippur food drive, Gleanings, Mitzvah Day, and the Passover food drive. These expenditures are subject to approval by the Board of Trustees.

Contributions to this fund will be used to maintain, restore and/or repair our Torah scrolls.
