Shabbat in the Lot



Shabbat in the Lot will be held in the parking lot of Temple Sinai beginning Friday, July 3 at 6:30pm (weather permitting).

Important Information:

  • REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED. Due to limited capacity, we advise you register early.
  • Due to social distancing requirements, capacity will be limited to 40 households with a maximum of 5 occupants each.
  • Each household will be provided a parking spot to set up their lawn chairs. Additional chairs will be set up underneath the shade of the canopy for those who cannot bring their own chairs. 
  • ALL ATTENDEES WILL BE REQUIRED TO WEAR MASKS FOR THE DURATION OF THE SERVICE.
  • Please set up your "spot" by 6:15pm so as not to disrupt the service. Spots will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • There will be no parking within the Temple Sinai parking lot with the exception of those who register for accessible parking (a valid permit is required). Parking will be permissible on Roslyn Road; passengers can be dropped off under the canopy before you park your vehicle on the street.
  • Be sure to bring lawn chairs, shade umbrellas, and anything you need to be comfortable during the service. 
  • Restrooms inside the temple will be available.
  • While we know you will want to socialize with your Temple Sinai family, we require that you maintain a distance of at least six feet from those people not within your "spot."
  • V&Z Caterers is pleased to offer Shabbat Dinner immediately following the service (weather permitting). Simply click here to reserve your table (space is limited).
  • If you have signed up and are unable to attend, kindly contact us at templeoffice@mysinai.org so we can make your spot available to another congregant.

TEMPLE SINAI OF ROSLYN COMMITMENT TO HEALTH POLICY

In an effort to reduce the risk of COVID-19 transmission, individuals coming to Temple Sinai of Roslyn must adhere to the policy below. This measure, like face masks, hand washing and social distancing, is intended to protect the health of the community. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), COVID-19 has an incubation period of up to 14 days. This means that even if YOU feel fine, you could be unknowingly spreading the virus to the people around you for as long as two weeks. We appreciate your honesty.
I/WE WILL NOT come to Temple Sinai if:
  • I/we have had a fever of 100.4 or higher that day.
  • I/we have had close contact with or cared for someone diagnosed with COVID-19 within the last 14 days.
  • I/we have experienced any cold or flu-like symptoms in the last 14 days (fever, cough, shortness of breath or other respiratory problem).
If I/we meet the criteria to come to Temple Sinai, I/WE WILL:
  • Sanitize hands upon arrival.
  • Wear a mask at all times. Mask must fit securely over nose & mouth.
  • Maintain a physical distance of at least 6ft from anyone who's not part of my household.
