Each week the entire school celebrates Shabbat with our clergy who lead the children in song, story, and prayer. ECC graduates have a natural     connection to our Religious School which begins in Kindergarten. Our graduates enjoy continuing their Jewish education with many of the       teachers that they know and love from their ECC experience. Interested in becoming a Temple Sinai member? Please contact Temple Sinai’s Director of Membership & Engagement Adrianne Rubin at arubin@mysinai.org for more information about our special TSECC memberships.

The emergent curriculum we proudly implement focuses on the interest of the students in our classrooms. Children are excited to learn about  topics that interest them. Thematic unites vary by month and include such exciting topics as Commotion in the OceanArctic Animals, National Nutrition Month, and It’s a Bug’s Life. We engage children in active learning that prepares them for school while helping them achieve their individual potential. We implement exceptional curricular components such as The Letter People®, Handwriting without Tears®, Fundations®, Math in Focus® and STEAM programming that aligns with curriculum in the local public schools. TSECC joyfully infuses Judaic learning throughout the day.

We are consistently told by the principals of local elementary schools that the Temple Sinai ECC students are extremely well prepared for grade school. Our FOURS program provides opportunities for children to work in small groups, large groups, and in individual instruction with the teacher. Social, emotional, physical, and educational goals are carefully monitored for each child in order to make sure developmental milestones are being reached.

Temple Sinai ECC observes all Jewish and secular holidays in the classrooms. The children learn the importance and meaning of the holidays through literature, art, puppetry, drama, music and creative projects.

Several times per year, families are invited to join together on Friday afternoons for a specially themed Shabbat service. Our clergy delight in celebrating with our youngest worshippers and spending quality time with their parents.

We encourage any family interested in information, regular updates and invitations to the many events we are planning, to contact us. Please email Lindsay Dayan at ldayan@mysinai.org to be added to our mailing list.

The staff is trained annually in CPR and First Aid. Our onsite Health & Safety Specialists ensure daily health screenings are complete upon arrival. The needs of children with allergies and other special needs are managed with the utmost care and precise attention. Our ECC follows stringent protocols in an effort to protect the well-being of everyone in our community. You can feel confident that your child is safe and receiving the best care possible.
